English Week

English Week 2022-23 - We were back in action and happy to be in person for a variety of activities. Our students definitely had a lot to experience this year.  To start the week , we partnered with Synergy Education Limited and their NETs and our students were treated wtih many English interactive games

Other activities in the week, included a visit to the FlagStaff House Museum of Teaware.

We collaborated with the Chinese Department & some of our Form 4 students had to produce a VLOG about some of the museum displays. (right)

As a lunch time activity at the end of the week, we brought back Teachers vs Students PICTONARY VR. The students were relentless & convincingly defeated the teachers 5 - 2 (below)

Finally, we partnered with Hang Yee Memorial Secondary School as part of a 'Learning English Through Sports' exchange program. Some of our Form 4 students taught our partnering school students' the ins and outs of cricket on our campus. While we were invited to visit their school to learn all about fencing. We turned the entire experience into a Campus TV episode and an interactive trivia game using IPads in a school morning assembly.  https://english.learn.iktmc.edu.hk/activities/campus-tv (click to see video & learn more  about CampusTV)

Each Form selected two students to represent their class for the Trivia Game. The game was conducted using IPADS and the app NEARPOD in the School Hall

Every Year English Week is one of those events that our students anticipate. We have interactive English activities that blend the performing arts and technology during the week which is consumated by our Annual IKTMC GOT TALENT show.  Even during the pandemic, we were able to bring English activities online.
